teletoonTELETOON Canada Inc. has announced its fall programming lineups for TELETOON, TELETOON at Night, TELETOON Retro, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. Full to the brim with new series, seasons, movies and episodes, the TELETOON Canada fall season officially launches on Monday, September 3, 2012.

“This is undoubtedly an epic fall season for TELETOON Canada’s family of networks,” said Carole Bonneau, Vice-President, Programming, TELETOON Canada Inc. “With a number of exciting acquisition titles and new and continuing original productions rolling out this September, we’re delivering big laughs to viewers of all ages.”

TELETOON Daytime – Scooby will usher viewers into the fall season on TELETOON this year, with a Scooby Doo Mystery Movie Weekend, featuring back-to-back animated Scooby Doo movies, taking over the airwaves from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET/PT throughout the Labour Day weekend (Saturday, September 1 to Monday, September 3, 2012).

Every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET/PT this fall, TELETOON’s main network will boast a range of new programming for kids and families. Highlights include the network premiere of Marvel’s action-packed series about a teenaged Peter Parker, Ultimate Spider-Man and the TELETOON debut of The Amazing World of Gumball, which chronicles the adventures of Gumball – a blue cat with a giant head – and his best friend Darwin, who just happens to be a goldfish with legs. Season 3 of Adventure Time with Finn and Jake will see Finn and his dog Jake continue their escapades in the Land of Ooo, while the latest season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is sure to be a shocker with a number of key characters set to meet their demise over the course of the season.

Rounding out the fall schedule are new seasons of original series Detentionaire, Johnny Test, My Babysitter’s a Vampire and Stoked as well as hit acquisition titles Transformers: Prime and Looney Tunes. TELETOON’s slate of movie premieres includes Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, Tooth Fairy and How to Train Your Dragon, among others.

TELETOON at Night programming takes over the airwaves from 9 p.m. ET/PT onwards, featuring a lineup of smart and culturally topical comedy shows for young adults including Family Guy, American Dad and Robot Chicken.

On Friday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the popular Fred at Night programming block moves to its new home on Friday nights. Host Fred Kennedy will continue to bring his unique perspective on a variety of topics including comics, music, pop culture and the shows in the Fred at Night lineup. This fall that lineup will showcase new episodes of Futurama and Archer as well as the brand new TELETOON at Night Original Production, Fugget About It. Originally developed for the TELETOON at Night Pilot Project in 2007, Fugget About It follows the exploits of former mobster Jimmy Falcone and his family, now living in witness protection in cold, snowy Regina, Saskatchewan.

Saturdays are movie nights on TELETOON at Night, with two blockbuster movies airing every week at 9 p.m. and midnight ET/PT. Titles include There’s Something About Mary, Dodgeball, Napoleon Dynamite, Resident Evil and The Ring 1 & 2.

TELETOON Retro – Big news for classic cartoon fans: The Mighty Hercules is joining the TELETOON Retro lineup this fall along with a much-loved series from the 1980s, My Little Pony. Representing the 90s on TELETOON Retro, Bobby’s World, the brainchild of Canada’s own Howie Mandel, offers up a view of the world through the eyes of four-year-old Bobby Generic.

Cartoon Network – TELETOON Canada’s brand new channel Cartoon Network kicks off its first-ever fall season with a series of Ben 10 marathons – featuring back-to-back episodes of Ben 10, Ben 10: Alien Force and Ben 10: Ultimate Alien as well as Ben 10 movies Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix, Ben 10: Race Against Time and Ben 10: Alien Swarm – airing throughout the Labour Day weekend. This Ben 10 extravaganza all leads up to the Canadian premiere of the brand new movie Ben 10: Destroy All Aliens and a sneak peek at the latest Ben 10 series Ben 10: Omniverse. Officially set to join the Cartoon Network lineup on September 22, Ben 10: Omniverse is the fourth installment in the Ben 10 franchise wherein Ben Tennyson, now 16 years old, teams up with an alien named Rook on a mission to explore a secret alien city that brings back enemies from his past.

Continuing the excitement on Cartoon Network this fall, season 2 of Young Justice joins the schedule alongside brand new episodes of Level Up!, Regular Show, Generator Rex and Sym-Bionic Titan.

Adult Swim
Adult Swim, the post-9 p.m. ET/PT network for young adults sharing channel space with Cartoon Network, offers up its nightly dose of irreverence and hilarity with series including The Venture Bros, a spoof of 1960s cartoons like Jonny Quest; Aqua Teen Hunger Force, a show that follows a mystery-solving trio comprised of human-sized food products; and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, a sketch variety show from the comedy duo of Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim.
