Project X Labs Announces Latest GeoDash 2

Project X LtdProject X Labs has announced the availability of GeoDash 2, its most advanced location intelligence tool ever. GeoDash 2 brings customers even more power with features that offer advanced productivity and uses the cloud to deliver mobile intelligence tools with the MicroStrategy business intelligence platform.

Customer driven features that dominate this release include layers, simultaneous and selection tools and mobile intelligence. Business leaders around the world are demanding better and more sophisticated business intelligence tools as the market continues to grow. IDC reports, “In 2010, the BI tools market grew 11.8%, reflecting an improved economic environment and pent-up demand from 2009. The fundamental demand factors for BI software remain strong,” says Dan Vesset, program vice president, Business Analytics Solutions from IDC.

With GeoDash 2, customers can take layers to a new level with the ability to layer multiple reports, integrate multi-source data sets and easily import KML data sources.

“This release is very focused on delivering high value features to customers and puts more intelligence in their hands,” said Stephen Hayward, president of Project X Labs. “It’s now easy for users to input multiple data sources and layer data in their visualizations. Ultimately, these tools drive business decisions and our customers will be able to easily visualize their business data either at their desk or on the go.”

“MicroStrategy is delighted to continue to partner with Project X Ltd. and now Project X Labs, as they remain focused on extending customer value on MicroStrategy exclusively,” said Sanju Bansal, MicroStrategy Chief Operating Officer.

Mobile intelligence and taking business data on the road is now delivered through integration in the HTML container and works on both Android and Apple mobile devices. This new mobile intelligence functionality means that users can dynamically interact with location business data when viewing prospective retail sites, surveying project locations or evaluating new business opportunities.

GeoDash now also includes new simultaneous tools such as SimulSearch that allows users to search multiple points of interest simultaneously allowing rich data points for analysis. As well, SimulRouting provides access to search multiple routes simultaneously.

GeoDash continues to include a Google license bundled as part of its low cost and now also includes Google Places search API integration.
