Intuit Appoints New Managing Director For Canada

intuitBusiness and personal finance management solutions developer Intuit Inc. has appointed Jeff Cates as managing director of Intuit Canada. Cates will lead the company’s strategic growth, its go-to-market strategies for its small business and consumer offerings while championing Intuit’s ongoing commitment to innovation.

“We’ve had a big Canadian presence for many years and we’re at a very exciting point in our growth and evolution,” said Alex Lintner, president of Intuit’s Global Business Division. “Canada is home to our expanding Global Business Division, where we have some of the brightest engineering and development minds in the industry.”

He has a demonstrated ability to inspire, lead and grow operations, to build profitable consumer and enterprise business solutions groups and he possesses a deep understanding of the Canadian market. These qualities combined with his vision for Intuit’s future growth will be key as he guides the team toward even greater success,” Lintner said.

Cates comes to Intuit backed by a Schulich School of Business MBA and McMaster University degree in Honours Commerce. Jeff has more than 17 years of experience in business development and management roles, having led consumer and enterprise divisions for companies including Hewlett-Packard Canada Co, and most recently, Apple Canada Inc.
