YellowPages.ca™ launches an innovative deals feature that redefines local search by offering timely and relevant deals linked directly to business search results on the YellowPages.ca website and its popular mobile application. This new deals feature will become Canadians’ best ally for the Holiday shopping season since deals can be easily found with each business search on the YellowPages.ca website, its mobile app and on the mobile version of the website.
This deals feature is aggregated from a wide variety of sources and updated daily, which makes it one of the largest deals database in Canada. This enhanced deals content provides a richer and more engaging shopping experience for savvy consumers who can now save time and money. It also enables Yellow Pages advertisers to leverage their deals and promotions to drive ready-to-buy consumers to their business at no added charge.
To launch this exciting new feature on the Yellow Pages app and illustrate its benefits for consumers, Yellow Pages Group will be running a 30-second Television ad campaign beginning today in the Greater Toronto Area and in English Canada on selected specialty channels. This ad spot will also promote a contest giving deal-loving Canadians the chance to win a daily prize of $1,000 and a grand prize for a trip of a lifetime valued at $5,000.

The upgraded Yellow Pages mobile app leverages location-based technology to display all of the deals close to one’s current GPS location so that consumers can access deals anytime and anywhere, directly on their mobile device. Consumers can then simply search as usual and watch for the “Deals” icon to appear.
The launch of the deals feature for the Yellow Pages mobile app complements other mobile applications within the Yellow Pages Group network, which are a major driving force of the Company’s ongoing digital transformation and account for 30 per cent of all digital searches.
Yellow Pages’ deals feature is available in English only, in large urban centres in Canada. It will expand across Canada in 2012. The Yellow Pages mobile app is available on all smartphone platforms.
