Banff – It has been an exciting week for one of Canadas leading tourism organizations after receiving two awards for excellence in online travel marketing and web initiatives. Brewster Inc., based in Banff Alberta, has been awarded both the Ektron All-Star Best Travel Site Award and 2008 Alberta Pride Alto Award.

Developed by E-cubed Media Synthesis, the Brewster Vacations Canada web site was recognized with the 2008 Ektron All-Star award for the Best Travel Site. The Web site provides an enhanced online experience with a focus on usability, product content and dynamic functionality. The Ektron content management system is the technology behind the website, just one of 20,000 customer implementations worldwide, including Fortune 500 companies and countless well-known brands.

The Alberta Pride Alto Award was presented to Brewster Inc. for the innovative online marketing initiative, Vacations Canada TV, at the 8th Annual CanWest Alto Awards Gala. Vacations Canada TV, Canadas first online television network, kicked off its pilot season by showcasing Alberta travel experiences and relevant vacation packages through high-quality and entertaining video episodes. The travel video site has already received over 230,000 episode views and is currently being translated into other languages. The Alto Awards were presented by the Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation, Cindy Ady, to tourism leaders in the province of Alberta. The awards are supported by the Strategic Tourism Marketing Council and independently determined by a panel of 24 industry judges. The Alberta Pride award is presented annually to a tourism initiative that captures the essence of the Alberta experience for travelers.

We are honored to be recognized with these two prestigious awards, said Rob Hughes, manager of e-strategies for Brewster Inc., we’re anxious to take these initiatives to the next level and provide more exciting ways for visitors to learn about the unique travel experiences in Canada.
