Two Weeks Left For Canadian Video Game Awards Nominations
There are only a couple of weeks left to get your nominations in for the 3rd Annual Canadian Video Game Awards. The organizers are delighted to announce that this year’s show will be held on April 21st in conjunction with Fan Expo Vancouver at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
The CVAs will showcase talent from the best developers in the country and will bring together some of the most influential names in the field, as industry leaders gather to celebrate Canada’s spot on the world stage. The show will also be broadcast across the country on Citytv and G4 Canada through the Rogers Network.
The award categories, as selected by a committee of industry leaders from across Canada, are:
- Game of the Year
- Best Console
- Best Game on the Go
- Best Downloadable Game
- Best Audio
- Best Social/Casual Game
- Best Game Design
- Best Technology
- Best Visual Arts
- Best Writing
- Innovation Award
The three new categories for 2012 are:
- Best Original Music
- Best New Character
- Best Indie Game
Finalists in all categories will be announced March 20th, 2012, when public voting for Game of the Year will open.
