Merging Media Coming To Toronto

“The seminar+lab program in Vancouver had an amazing chemistry due to the
wonderful mix of participants from both digital and conventional media,” says Merging Media Productions’ Executive Director Christine Lim-Labossière. “Broadcasters, gamers, writers and interactive storytellers came together to explore transmedia fundamentals and collaborate to form exciting new projects.”
“The CMPA is delighted to co-present this ground-breaking initiative in Toronto,” says John Barrack, the CMPA’s COO and CLO. “The Lab’s fresh approach enables the media community as a whole to upgrade their knowledge base and push forward the creative and business boundaries as a group.”
International transmedia expert Anita Ondine will be conducting the two-day event. She will present a half-day public seminar at the TIFF Bell Lightbox, and will then lead 24 select media professionals through a hands-on lab. The tailor-made curriculum workshops transmedia from “Conception to Consumption” and will cover the key areas of transmedia development, financing, design, production and distribution. Participants will learn how to build a transmedia project and pitch it to industry experts.
