nextMEDIA and the Banff World Media Festival are pleased to announce that youth media company and digital powerhouse VICE will be presented the Award of Innovation at the Festival on June 11, 2013 at the annual Rockie Awards Gala. In addition to accepting the Award, both Suroosh Alvi & Shane Smithi will be hosting a one hour interview at the Festival on Wednesday, June 12 which will explore how they have lead the company to such success and where they will take it in the future.

The Award of Innovation is a high-profile award, recognizing exceptional career achievement in shaping the media industry. Last year’s Award was accepted by Google’s Chief Business Officer – Nikesh Arora, previously accepted by Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.
