Pixel Blue College And Studio Announces Partnership With The Pride Centre of Edmonton

pixel bluePixel Blue College is pleased to announce a partnership with The Pride Centre of Edmonton as part of the College’s Community Investment Strategy. Pixel Blue has become the design firm for the Centre and is donating its time and resources to build a stronger brand for the organization. The Centre is in the process of rebranding its look, image and materials and so far Pixel Blue has completed the redesign and launch of the new logo. The new logo was designed placing prominence on the word “Centre” as the patrons of The Pride Centre of Edmonton is commonly refer to the organization as simply the Centre.

In addition to the new logo, Pixel Blue created a brand and posters for The Centre’s Public Education Program called Queer Lens. Queer Lens is a lecture series which includes such topics as LGBTQ histories in Canada and around the world, social and political issues, and current events in communities and Laws, government policies and human rights issues that affect LGBTQ people and communities.

As part of Pixel Blue’s commitment to education, the college is awarding ten $1,000 scholarships through Pixel Blue’s Pride Centre Scholarship Fund. Mickey Wilson, The Pride Centre of Edmonton, Executive Director commented “We are absolutely thrilled to have the talented people at Pixel Blue College as partners in our work at the Pride Centre of Edmonton. Their support and expertise is an asset to us as we rebrand, and in our everyday service delivery. And we are very excited about Pixel Blue’s Pride Centre Scholarship. This gift highlights their commitment to The Centre and the LGBTQ community. We can’t say enough good things about the good people at Pixel Blue.”

The Logo was revealed at an Open house at The Pride Centre of Edmonton’s facility on February 25, 2013. Pixel Blue is continuing work on the Centre’s website and all printed materials.
