It was another bull’s eye for Vancouver-shot Arrow (pun intended) as 1.3 million viewers tuned in to its special CTV premiere Sunday night. Following its historic CTV Two debut Wednesday as the network’s most-watched series premiere on record (1.1 million viewers), Arrow delivered another million-plus audience to finish #4 for the night, behind only The Amazing Race (#1, 2.7 million viewers), Once Upon A Time (#2, 1.7 million viewers and another locally shot series) and The Mentalist (#3, 1.6 million viewers).
Meanwhile, CTV’s new Big Bang Event programming block went “top shelf” Saturday night, averaging 1.2 million viewers from 8-10 p.m. The four, back-to-back episodes programmed around the theme, “First Contact,” were the Top 4 most-watched programs of the night. The block delivered a series-high 730,000 viewers for The Neighbors, which followed at 10 p.m. Big Bang On CTV followed a new series overnight high for an original episode of the series last Thursday night with 4.3 million viewers on CTV. Also on Saturday, an all-new episode of W5 drew 879,000 viewers at 7 p.m.
On Friday night, CTV also won every hour of primetime from 8-11 p.m. with Blue Bloods (#1, 1.7 million), CSI: NY (#2, 1.4 million viewers), and Grimm (#3, 1.1 million viewers).
Episode 2 of ARROW premieres Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV Two.
