While e-commerce and tech giants like Amazon, Netflix, Match.com, and Dropbox have significant resources to drive qualified traffic and increase their app store rankings within iTunes and Android Market, there are endless smaller businesses that are seeing the value of Google Chrome Store to find new users and potential customers. With the announcement of the yet to be launched Facebook App Center, startups will now have another large distribution point for their mobile apps and web apps.
One such SaaS firm, Uberflip, recently had their web app accepted into the Google Chrome Store and is already seeing significant growth in leads through this affordable distribution portal that only costs $5 to list within.
“Uberflip is a cloud-based tool that allows marketers in all types of firms to take a dull PDF and make it interactive and trackable,” says Uberflip COO Randy Frisch. “Since integrating into the Google Chrome Store about a month ago, our lead traffic has increased 321%. At the same time, we’re also providing existing customers an easier access point to our Application through the Chrome tab.”
Google Chrome Store allows companies to list their web apps while also enabling users to review the app and add it to the homepage of their Google Chrome browser. Potential customers investigating web app solutions can quickly browse their options and receive unbiased reviews and ratings from other users.
As for Facebook, based on the information that’s available, it appears that they will take their app store even further and allow all platforms to be listed there – be it iOS, Android, and web apps. They will also list both free and paid apps.
