WXN Offers Free Membership To Celebrate International Women’s Day

wxnOn International Women’s Day, March 8th, the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) is waiving its membership fee to encourage smart women to be part of a community of female leaders. WXN is Canada’s leading organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of women in management, executive, professional and board roles.

“International Women’s Day reminds us that we need to applaud the achievements of women in Canada,” said WXN Founder, Pamela Jeffery. “Women are a powerful part of the workforce and the economy. Yet despite some progress, we are still underrepresented at the top of organizations. We must continue to strive to mentor, advance and inspire women.”

To this end, on Thursday March 8th, 2012 WXN is launching four initiatives in celebration of women:

  1. Free Membership: For one day only, WXN is waiving its $95 membership fee encouraging smart, successful women to join its community of 17,000 professional women. WXN creates and delivers innovative speaker series events, networking, mentoring, and professional development to inform, inspire, connect, and recognize our community of remarkable women across Canada and Ireland.
  2. $100 off Mentoring Programs:  WXN is offering a $100 discount off its sought-after WXNWisdom Peer Mentoring and Top 100 Mentoring programs from March 8th to 15th. Peer Mentoring gives women access to their own personal advisory board to exchange ideas, share successes and challenges, make strategic contacts and get feedback on personal and professional strategies. Top 100 Mentoring is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn directly from the country’s most influential women. Top 100 Mentoring provides four one-on-one mentoring sessions from one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women augmented with three full days of classroom instruction through Beedie School of Business/SFU, focused on career and personal success. Sessions available in: Downtown Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver.
  3. Launch of 2012 Awards Nominations: Nominations open March 8th for the 2012 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards, honouring female leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.  Top 100 nominations are open to the public. This is a great opportunity for Canadian organizations and individuals to shine a national spotlight on remarkable women.
