ACTRA Toronto Launches Stage Parent Survival Guide – 2nd Edition
ACTRA Toronto is hosting the Toronto book launch of The Stage Parent Survival Guide today at 1:00 p.m. Join author Robyne Baruchel, Canadian actor Jay Baruchel, ACTRA National Children’s Advocate and Treasurer Theresa Tova and ACTRA Toronto’s Children’s Advocate Tabby Johnson at ACTRA Toronto’s office for a special Q&A followed by a reception.
First published in 2002, the Guide is an invaluable resource for parents and guardians of school-aged children in the Canadian film and TV industry and spells out all of the rules ACTRA has bargained for and enforces to protect child actors. The Guide’s author, Robyne Baruchel, is a former agent and stage mom of two young actors, and is currently Director of Montreal’s On-Camera Acting Workshops at The Studio and Just a Stage Mom.
