Dx3 Canada, the first and only trade show dedicated to Digital Marketing, Digital Advertising and Digital Retail, is offering attendees the chance to get intimate with the City of Toronto’s Open Data Initiative. Access to the Open Data Initiative is free to attend with pre-registration to the Dx3 Canada Expo Floor.
The working session will be moderated by Wilf Dinnick, CEO, OpenFile and will include City of Toronto CIO Dave Wallace, along with Elaine Mah, Managing Director, Intel Canada, Nik Garkusha, Open Platforms Lead, Microsoft Canada, Kerry Munro, President, Digital Delivery Network, Canada Post and others.
They will explore questions such as: How can businesses benefit from the City’s Open Data Initiative? How can the public and private sectors work together for enhanced products and services using the City’s data?
Ron Tite, Chief Content Curator, commented, “The Open Data Initiative session is exactly what we want Dx3 Canada to accomplish. We want to help Canadian Business get digital and fortunately, the City of Toronto wants to help, too. They are incredibly supportive of the session and look forward to the outcomes as much as we do.”
Said Dave Wallace, City of Toronto CIO, “Toronto is building a city that thinks like the web. Open data is a driving force of the global Open Government movement for greater citizen engagement, customer service, transparency, accountability and the sharing of knowledge and information leading to greater collaboration and innovation. We’re opening up, crowdsourcing and asking for help.”
