Third Annual Photo Contest Invites Artistic Interpretation

vistekVistek’s third annual Photo Contest – the Every Picture Tells a Story Photo Challenge – has launched to great success and hundreds of entries thus far, with submissions being accepted up until February 24, 2012. Departing from its previous format of inviting participants to Capture Canada, the Every Picture Tells a Story Photo Challenge opens up submissions to a more artistic, interpretive bent.
“We’ve chosen five words for people to interpret,” says Vistek’s Creative Director, Christopher Huchenski, “We always get an incredible selection of submissions each year from so many talented photographers, that this year we thought it would be fun to see how people worked with more esoteric parameters.”

The words or categories for shutterbugs to consider are: Joy, Hope, Solitude, Mystery & Courage. And with major sponsorship from Epson, Elinchrom, G-Technology, Inc., Amplis, Canson, Leica, Moab and Wacom, the prize bounty is considerable.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Overall Photograph, Best Overall Black & White Photograph as well as a First, Second and Third prize for each of the five categories. Winners will be announced March 5, 2012.
