Global Game Jam Next Month
The International Game Developers’ Association annual sleep deprivation weekend is fast approaching, and applications for Site Hosts are still being accepted. I’m referring of course to the annual Global Game Jam, which will be held this coming January 27th through 29th. Some Canadian locations have already been announced, but I’m sure there will be more to come as the event gets closer. Announced Canadian locations thus far:
University of Victoria – Victoria
University of British Columbia – Vancouver
Mount Royal University – Calgary
The UnLab – London
University of Ontario Institute of Technology / Durham College – Oshawa
Carleton School of Information Technology – Ottawa
There will be a jam in Dawson City, but a location has not yet been announced.
Some locations require a registration fee, others do not – be sure to check each location’s specifications to avoid disappointment. If you are interested in becoming an event sponsor you can either contact the Global Game Jam organization or a local group via their event page on the Game Jam site.
