343 Industries Selects Behaviour To Revamp Halo Waypoint On Xbox 360

behaviour interactiveBehaviour Interactive has been chosen by Microsoft’s 343 Industries to modernize the Halo Waypoint interface. The two companies teamed up to improve the Halo community’s central hub, by updating its look and feel, as well as its functionality. Now, a new high-definition 3D style and entirely reworked visuals await Waypoint users on Xbox LIVE.
“We have created an epic experience that feels truly a part of the Halo universe,” says CJ Saretto, Lead Producer at Microsoft. “As an experienced and well-established game developer, Behaviour understood the original concept and knew how to implement the vision into the Halo franchise, which certainly influenced Microsoft’s choice of developer.”

In celebration of Halo’s 10th anniversary, 343 Industries wanted to renew the menus’ architecture to simplify navigation and improve visibility as well as reflect a dynamic and modern feel. To do so, the developers have created a user-friendly wonderwall that calls to mind a control board where users can easily navigate from one item to another.

“We are quite proud of the work we have done with 343 Industries on Waypoint. No doubt the users will see a huge improvement with this new version, a refreshed extension of the Halo universe,” said Rémi Racine, CEO of Behaviour.

Halo Waypoint is the Halo franchise’s point of convergence and fans’ ultimate destination. It includes the latest news and activities and grants access to exclusive Halo content, such as video footage and community content. Halo Waypoint is available on the Web, mobile platforms and the Xbox 360.  Behaviour is proud to have been selected as the Halo Waypoint Xbox 360 development partner.
