The Secret World Featured on PC Gamer Holiday Issue Cover

funcom [1]Funcom’s [1] upcoming modern-day massively multiplayer online game, ‘The Secret World [2]’, is featured on the cover of PC Gamer’s holiday issue that hits subscribers on November 17th. Following a full-day, extensive hands-on experience with the game, PC Gamer’s Nathan Grayson writes that “Funcom had to drag me away kicking and screaming”, and that “The Secret World is taking bold steps to revolutionize  the MMO.”

“We are thrilled to see ‘The Secret World’ on the cover of what is undoubtedly the world’s most prestigious PC gaming magazine,” said Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas. “This is a solid indication of the quality of ‘The Secret The Secret World - Templars [3]World’ as well as the expectations for the title among gamers and the press.”

‘The Secret World’ is consistently mentioned as one of the most anticipated MMOs in development, breaking new grounds and genre conventions by introducing a modern-day setting, a story-focused MMO experience, and a freeform progression system using no classes and no levels. Recently Funcom announced that over 500,000 gamers are now registered for the ongoing beta testing. ‘The Secret World’ is published by Electronic Arts Inc.  and will ship in April 2012.
