PopVox Awards 2009 Results

PopVox AwardsVancouver – The New Media BC PopVox Awards were held last night at  Workspace on Water Street.  While Village Gamer did not attend the Awards due to conflicting events, we’ve heard reports that the Awards were a lot of fun and that a good time was had by all.

Best Viral or Digital Advertising Campaign: Zombie Singles – Noise Digital

Best User Experience (Website): Interior Designers Institute of BC – Switch Interactive

Best Design (Website): BC Business Online

Best Do-Gooder (Social Change Initiative): O-Vert – Switch Interactive

Best Start Up: Hootsuite – Invoke Media

Best Student Project: Iran: A Nation of Bloggers – Aaron Chiesa

Individual Stand Out for Industry Advocacy: Danny Robinson, managing director of Bootup Labs and cofounder of Launch Party Vancouver

Individual Stand Out for Digital Education: Gerri Sinclair, executive director of Masters of Digital Media Program

Individual Stand Out for Social Media: Kris Krug, president of Raincity Studios

Individual Stand Out for Visionary Leadership:
Michael Tippett, founder and chief marketing officer at Now Public
