Creative Agency Wins Platinum for Town of Markham Video
Toronto – Creativeworks Productions is proud to announce they have won platinum for the GreenPrint animated video in this year’s Hermes Creative Awards competition. Hermes recognizes outstanding work in the industry, attracting thousands of creative artists from around the world. Their annual creative awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).
The GreenPrint animated video was created for the Town of Markham, known for embracing new technologies and innovative approaches in communication. Markham’s GreenPrint sustainability plan targets residents of all ages, including youth. The GreenPrint video, targeting the difficult to reach 11-18 youth market, was created to generate excitement for Markham’s new youth website, www.markham.ca/greenprint, and to create a buzz in the youth market.

“Markham’s GreenPrint plan for community sustainability is an important component of our overall strategic direction – Building Markham’s Future Together,” said Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “The need for youth involvement in designing our future community is a critical component and using new media such as YouTube is essential to our success. We’re thrilled with the animated video production created by Creativeworks Productions. It played an important role in the success of this project.”
AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. There were over 3,700 entries from throughout the United States and other countries. Winners were selected from 142 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts. About 17 per cent of the entries won the Platinum Award, the organization’s top honour.
