New Book The Video Bible Outlines Process Of Professional Video Production

Victoria author Barry Casson [1] draws on decades of experience in the film and television industry to offer practical, applicable tips for creating a successful film or video production in his helpful guidebook The Video Bible, published by Indiana company Trafford Publishing. The Video Bible is an informational book that describes the video production process from A to Z. The book offers many inside professional techniques that can be used in business and home video creation.

Barry Casson’s career in film and television began in the early 1970s, when he worked as a freelance and staff news photographer for several Vancouver Island newspapers. He received formal film training at Columbia College in Hollywood, Calif., and went on to work as a news cameraman for nine years at Victoria’s BCTV’s CHEK Television. Since leaving CHEK Television, Casson has founded the Victoria Motion Picture School [3] (now known as Pacific Film & New Media Academy) and directed and photographed over 50 dramas, documentaries, educational films, television commercials and corporate videos through his company, Casson Pictures. He has received dozens of national and international awards for his work and is a distinguished member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers [4].
