ITAC-CWC Speakers Series: Women In Corporate Leadership

mini-orby [1]This is the third event in the ITAC [2]CWC [3] Speakers Series: Women in Corporate Leadership and the first in Vancouver. On Wednesday May 22nd, Leyland Brown, Vice President, Enterprise Sales, HP Canada will share her insights and reflect on the experiences that have led her to a key place in HP Canada’s leadership team. She will also share her views on why conscious strategies to build strong corporate inclusion are good for business.

Biography – Leyland Brown is vice president of enterprise sales for the Printing and Personal Systems Group (PPS) at HP Canada. In this role, she is responsible for driving HP’s growth and continued market leadership by delivering PPS products and services to HP’s largest corporate clients in Canada. The Printing and Personal Systems Group mandate covers the industry’s broadest portfolio of personal computers, technical workstations, printers, graphics solutions, managed-print services and internet services.

Brown has been with HP for more than 15 years and has held various senior management positions throughout her career. In her most recent role as vice president and general manager of the Personal Systems Group (PSG) at HP Canada, she was responsible for all aspects of Canada’s client computing business including sales, marketing, operations, supply chain and total customer experience. Prior to that, she served as vice president of commercial marketing for PSG at HP Canada.

Over the years, Brown has taken on a number of HP initiatives including SMB leadership, Take Back Your Life, Women on the Way Up, and the United Way. She is an active volunteer member of the Zonta Group.

Brown graduated from York University with an Honours Business Degree and has won multiple awards throughout her career at HP, Compaq and Digital Equipment Corporation. In October 2012, she was recognized as one of the Top 20 Women in the IT Channel Ecosystem by Computer Dealer News. The publication had previously named her 2011 Newsmaker of the Year.
