Roadhouse Interactive Acquires The Embassy

^[1]Vancouver online and social game developer Roadhouse Interactive Ltd. ^[1] has acquired Facebook and iOS game developer The Embassy Interactive ^[2], also based in Vancouver. The acquisition will further strengthen Roadhouse’s development capabilities and enable the company to quickly expand its roster of projects which currently includes Family Guy Online ^[3]™ and MechWarrior Tactics ^[4]™. The Embassy Interactive was founded in 2008 and has developed several social games including UFC® Undisputed™ Fight Nation for Facebook ^[5], and Tangram Puzzle Pro ^[6]for iPhone, an original IP that reached #2 in US iTunes downloads.

Effective immediately, The Embassy Interactive will become Roadhouse Game Studios and will focus on new product development for Facebook, smartphones and tablets. The acquisition adds internal development capacity to support Roadhouse’s production and operational expertise.  Roadhouse will continue to work with third party studios in addition to internal development and continues to seek top development resources to match its strong production roster.

Roadhouse Interactive President, Tarrnie Williams, will be acting studio head until further notice. Roadhouse Game Studios will continue to operate as a separate entity from Roadhouse Interactive. Embassy Interactive founder Sebastiaan Reinarz will continue on as Creative Director at the new studio, while founder Ryan Donaldson will serve as an external design advisor for Roadhouse Interactive.
