Destiny Media Technologies, the global standard for the secure distribution of pre-release music to radio, is pleased to announce the successful soft launch of Play MPE® version 5. Canada’s wireless industry generated $43 billion for the Canadian economy in 2010 according to UK-based Ovum Consulting. In a report released today by the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA), Ovum quantifies the economic impact of Canada’s wireless sector in terms of gross domestic product (GDP), investment and employment. Telefilm Canada is announcing that it is supporting the production of nine new feature films (eight in English and one in French) through the Canada Feature Film Fund. A total of $14 million in funding will be allocated to these projects, which come from British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec.
