Sir Ken Robinson And Bill Strickland To Speak At Emergent Learning Conference
Bringing together a community of parents, teachers, and education professionals, Emergent Learning: Turning Tides in 21st Century Education is a new conference that challenges the way we think about education as it relates to the whole child.
Keynote speaker Sir Ken Robinson, the most-viewed speaker on TED.com, is known around the world for his inspiring views on ways to teach children differently. He believes the pursuit of standardization has led education systems to kill creativity – ignoring hundreds of other valid and valuable ways of learning.
Other conference speakers include Bill Strickland, visionary leader of Manchester Bidwell, and Angus Macbeth. Programming includes over forty presentations and workshops and the Future of Learning Expo. The conference will take place on April 23rd and 24th in Halifax.
