Locate Babysitters And Nannies With New iPhone App

integration new mediaIntegration New Media, Inc. has announced the release of the new iPhone application built for SOSgarde, a popular website that connects parents with local babysitters, nannies, senior caregivers and pet sitters. Available for free in the iTunes store, this French app (English coming soon) enables mobile moms and dads to instantly find babysitters and nannies wherever they are.

Canadian parents-on-the-go can enter their residential postal code to tap into a pool of over 11,000 sitters across the country. Parents can then short-list sitters from their local neighbourhood, view the sitters’ detailed profiles and choose the one that best fits their needs.

According to the 21st Century Mobile Mom® Report, adoption of smartphone use among mothers has risen 64% in the last two years. More than half of the 5,000 women that were surveyed said they purchased a smartphone as a direct result of becoming a mom. They now spend more time on their smartphones than they do watching television, listening to the radio, and reading magazines and newspapers.

“Parents are increasingly using smartphones and other mobile devices to manage their hectic parenting and work schedules,” said Paulina Podgorska, founder, SOSgarde. “They are using apps today to find a restaurant and book a reservation, now they can take the next natural step and use the SOSgarde app to find a sitter on-the-go and immediately contact them to arrange for care.”

Using their iPhones, SOSgarde gives parents full access to a large database of 11,000 plus sitters that are registered to the website, covering all of Quebec as well as other parts of Canada. Parents can quickly search for sitters in their neighbourhood, view the profile of each sitter, and conveniently call or send an email to the sitter directly from within the SOSgarde application.

The application is designed from the ground up with mobile users in mind. Very user friendly, it focuses on the most common tasks that parents need access to and keeps the data on-screen to a minimum for easy review and scanning. The app’s simple search functions, easy-to-scan information and ability to immediately connect with sitters by both phone and email make this application a must-download for busy parents.
