Opincity Smartphone App Now On Android

opincityOpinCity is expanding its offerings in the Canadian smartphone application arena. Launching first on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, on the iTunes App Store, Pure and Noble Inc.’s first smartphone application, OpinCity, is offering more Canadian’s the opportunity to use the free service by expanding to the Android Market. With one third of Canada using smartphones (and rapid tablet computer adoption), this is another step in the right direction, allowing even more Canadians use of the free location based service. Beware Of Scammers Pretending To Represent The CRTC

CRTCThe Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has been alerted that people claiming to represent the CRTC are making telephone calls to Canadians and informing them that their computers are potentially at risk. The caller then asks to remotely connect to the computer to scan for and remove any viruses. These calls are likely phishing scams that could result in identity theft and fraud. These callers are not CRTC employees. Canadians should never grant remote access to their computers or give their passwords to someone who has called them claiming to represent a government organization.

Almost a Turkish Soap Opera Web Series

Sababa Emporium Film Productions and AR&B Films are reaching out to their independent film’s audience by releasing Almost a Turkish Soap Opera TV series as a Web Series.  The screenplay had been written for the TV genre and the film genre.  Sababa Emporium Film Productions took advantage and filmed both the TV series and the film simultaneously.  Read the rest of this entry »
