OpenText BPS Reveals 2011 GlobalStar Enterprise Award Winners and Finalists

The awards, presented by the recently formed OpenText Business Process Solutions [2] (BPS) Group, showcase organizations around the world dedicated to achieving real business value and competitive advantage using OpenText’s business process management (BPM), business process analysis (BPA), business architecture, and case management solutions.

The two winners of the 2011 GlobalStar Enterprise Awards are:

AmerisourceBergen – As part of the competitive and complex pharmaceutical industry, AmerisourceBergen was faced with critical challenges such as maintaining high standards while managing growth, creating efficiencies, making better and faster decisions and ensuring regulatory and legal compliance. Today AmerisourceBergen has established a BPM Center of Excellence, having deployed and optimized nearly 200 processes throughout the enterprise with approximately 3,000 global users. ROI is achieved within months for each new process deployed.

Nationwide Building Society – Since June 1997 Nationwide Building Society has been the world’s largest building society with 13 million members and customers, over 15,000 employees, 753 branches and £166 billion in assets. The organization was challenged by inefficient, manual member account administration processes, high operational costs, lack of visibility into processes, and limited work management capabilities. Today Nationwide Building Society has addressed their challenges through an enterprise-wide BPM platform including workforce management that enabled them to increase the number of member applications processed by 400%.

The three finalists also considered for the 2011 GlobalStar Enterprise Awards are:

NASDAQ OMX – Nasdaq OMX deployed OpenText BPS solutions to administer changes to the master financial data structures used across applications, data warehouses and transactional systems within the company.  Before OpenText BPS all changes were proposed, approved and completed manually via email and spreadsheets, which was time intensive and error-prone and without an audit trail. With OpenText BPS multiple users across the organization can propose new values and the BPM solutions data quality and efficiency across each process while maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley compliance with a full audit trail of the request and approvals.

Channel 4 Television – Channel 4 Television leveraged OpenText BPS for an industry-leading eCommissioning solution. Named “The Producer’s Portal”, it is core to Channel 4’s online strategy for bringing its suppliers into the commissioning process.  The solution fosters a more open and transparent working relationship and all commissioning supplier interactions occur within one coherent area, strengthening the channel’s brand.  This reduces confusion, frustration and encourages the production companies to work more closely with Channel 4.

PSCU Financial Services – PSCU Financial Services was looking to enhance their internal customer experience and for the 600 plus financial institutions it supports by creating service efficiencies through reducing phone calls, faxes and time spent resolving service issues. The OpenText BPS solution enables a seamless execution of service requests, complete with the successful transfer of data from disparate sources, tracking of requests, and paperless process automation. The combined value of the improvements made in service have resulted in increased customer retention and acquisition and differentiate PSCU Financial Services from its competitors.
