Warren Franklin Departs CEO Post at Rainmaker Entertainment
The board of directors of Rainmaker Entertainment Inc. have announced that Warren Franklin has left the Vancouver studio. Rainmaker Entertainment will be recognizing a charge to operations in the fourth quarter of approximately $1 million related to Franklin’s departure.
In making the announcement, Tim McElvaine, Chairman of the Board, stated: “On behalf of the Board, we wish Warren well in his future endeavors. We are confident in the continued success of Rainmaker Entertainment under the leadership of President and Executive Producer Catherine Winder who over the past two years has done a fantastic job in transforming the company into a creatively focused cost-effective studio.”
“Thanks to our dedicated executive management team and amazing crew of artists and story tellers, Rainmaker is well positioned to continue its’ growth as a leading CG animation studio,” said Catherine. “I look forward to the continuing opportunity to guide the company towards further creative expansion for all of our many projects in production and development.”
In addition to the production of the studio’s first feature film, Escape from Planet Earth for The Weinstein Company, Rainmaker is working on several Mattel based DVD’s and a slate of properties in development. The company recently released its’ original short animated film Luna which has been accepted for screening at many industry festivals and events.
