If you are a part of the Guild Wars 1 community (and even if you are not) you have probably heard about GWEN. No, not the Mesmer in Eye of the North. I’m talking about the Gaming World Entertainment Network!
GWEN is an online radio station that is also affiliated with Gamers Giving Back. Both organizations are run by the same person, M A L I B U Barbie, or Rhonda as she is known here on Earth. She has been running these organizations since January 2010. Her mission is to prove the stereotype of gamers wrong. I was watching one of the Titanic shows on National Geographic channel last evening and found out about the Fisheries and Marine Institute’s Centre for Marine Simulation, which is located in St. John’s, Newfoundland. The simulator was used to run some simulations in regards to the Titanic’s collision with the iceberg. Already being familiar with the number flight simulation developers we have in Canada, I wasn’t really surprised to find that we also have a pretty incredible marine simulator as well.
