Nintendo Outlines Ink-redible Free Splatoon Demo Events And Post-Launch Content

Nintendo CanadaNintendo is hosting free demo events of Splatoon for all Wii U owners, and people who purchase the game will receive a squid-boatload of free post-launch content. Financing Transatlantic Transmedia Projects

Canada Media FundThe Canada Media Fund (CMF) and Wallimage (Wallonia, Belgium) have announced today a financing package of CAN$600,000 for three coproductions under the Canada-Wallonia Incentive for Digital Media Multiplatform projects. The two organizations have each contributed an equal share in the total funding. Three Walloon production companies will work with three Canadian companies to create two new innovative multiplatform projects in development and one project in production financed through the incentive program established in November 2014. Telefilm Canada To Fund 10 English- And French-Language Films

Telefilm CanadaTelefilm Canada has announced its support, through the Canada Feature Film Fund, of the production of nine English-language films and one French-language film for a total investment of $7.1 million. DOXA Film Festival Raises Curtain On Work Experience

doxaIt’s lights, camera, action for the DOXA Documentary Film Festival, thanks to nearly $31,000 in provincial Job Creation Partnership funding, which is helping four people get behind-the-scenes work experience at the festival office. Last year, the Documentary Media Society non-profit, which runs the DOXA festival, received more than $25,000 in Job Creation Partnership funding to train four other workers, for a two-year total of $56,000. Telefilm Canada Opens Production Program For French And English Market Projects With Budgets Under $2.5M

Telefilm CanadaEffective today, Telefilm Canada is now accepting applications for its 2015/2016 Production Program, with respect to French and English market projects with budgets of less than $2.5M. Please note that this is an opening date. Telefilm will continue to accept applications for lower-budget projects until the closing date, which will be announced in due course.  It is recommended that each client should contact the Regional Feature Film Executive responsible for the applicable region to discuss the project, before submitting an application.
