Gamers can download it for 80 MS Points and find out what happens when DLC practices go too far. In this latest title from the Ottawa-based indie developer, players will defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl in a game that mocks the game development industry and its foibles – but first you’ll need to find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing. In the lead-up to the season two premiere of Canadian original scripted series, Corvid Pictures, Aircraft Pictures and Frantic Films are taking Todd & The Book of Pure Evil online.
Descent into Crowley Heights is a web-based, side-scrolling game that sees players taking on the role of the series’ gang members, who make their way through the familiar world of Todd while battling the enemies and monsters familiar to viewers, all to capture the Book of Pure Evil.
Several mini-game challenges are also available on Facebook, along with an exclusive unlockable character, available for players who track down a special code.
Crowley Heights is produced by Corvid Pictures, Aircraft Pictures and Frantic Films, with service production and project management by lunch with executive producer Amy Miranda and producer Lily-Ann Lee. Relish Interactive was on board for game development with game design by Scott Hiers, along with game programming by Pixelpusher! and 3D animation by Alchemy.

I told first told you about Troll Blaster early in September, but somehow missed the game’s release. I’m making up for that now with an (only a little late) notice that Montreal-based mobile software firm eMobiSoft Inc. has launched their physics strategy – puzzle game Troll Blaster for Apple iOS devices. The game enters the popular projectile destruction genre of gameplay in which the player fires a strategically selected weapon onto a structure containing evil trolls. Local developer Tim Lewinson has been able to go public about the project he has been working on for Beefy Media. We can now consider ourselves forewarned that the Sour Patch Candy Kids will be coming to consoles in the way of a game called World Gone Sour.
