2013 Canadian Telecom Summit – Toronto (all-day) @ Toronto Congress CentreJun 3 – Jun 5
If your interests lie in the Telecommunications, IT or Broadcasting sectors, you need to attend The 2013 Canadian Telecom Summit. Mark the dates on your calendar: June 3 – 5. Take advantage of our early bird registration rates by reserving your place now.
Keynote speakers include a host of Canadian and global industry leaders. Visit our website often to see the program as it continues to develop.
The Canadian Telecom Summit, now in its 12th year, is Canada’s leading ICT event, attracting more than 500 of the most influential people who shape the future direction of communications and information technology in Canada. For 3 full days, The Canadian Telecom Summit delivers thought provoking presentations from the prime shapers of the industry. This is your chance to hear from and talk with them in both a structured atmosphere of frank discussion and high-octane idea exchange and schmooze in a more relaxed social setting of genial conversation.
Once again, you will have the opportunity to interact with executives of leading service providers, equipment suppliers, applications developers, policy makers, regulators and major customers. In-depth panels will examine: network transformation and the cost of capacity; business transformation and strategic sourcing; mobile commerce; devices, screens & apps; the evolution of business models in a converged world; customers speaking out; the next generation of wireless; the revolution of TV content anywhere; and of course, the not-to-be-missed Regulatory Blockbuster.
2013 Canadian Telecom Summit – Toronto @ Toronto Congress Centre (all-day) -
Digital Strategy Conference – Ottawa (all-day) @ Morisset Hall, University of OttawaJun 3 – Jun 5
The Digital Strategy Conference is designed for directors and managers of marketing/communications, sales, customer service and product support. The education supports the success of digital initiatives implemented by internal web, ecommerce and online marketing teams; as well as agencies, consultants and vendors. Therefore, we encourage a team approach to this education.
The goal of the conference is to bring together managers and directors who have a good understanding of the impact of digital on organizations today and recognize the need for methods and models that will move digital initiatives from fragmented tactics to integrated, cross-functional strategic plans.
The Digital Strategy Conference delivers a deep dive focused on how to think and plan strategically when putting digital to work. By rising above current day tactical thinking, you become more focused, efficient and productive, positioning your organization to better compete, stay relevant and succeed.
The lessons learned will help you overcome fragmentation of media, channels, platforms and audience. You will learn:
- What a digital strategy is and is not
- About the value of an iterative digital strategy
- How to develop a strategic plan and apply it
- Methods and processes that will help you evaluate new opportunities as they arise, develop strategy that continuously evolves and keeps pace with organizational goals.

WAB Annual Conference – Banff (all-day) @ Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel & Golf CourseJun 5 – Jun 6
The WAB conference is right before the Banff World Media Festival providing an opportunity to attend two great events focusing on broadcasting and media in Canada. Our conference represents a unique opportunity to meet one on one with private radio and television broadcasters in a relaxed and informal setting.
With only 100 key broadcasters and suppliers in attendance, WAB 2013 represents an excellent time for networking and meeting with the decision makers in Prairie and National broadcasting. The WAB board also works hard to bring business content with reports from CAB, BBM, CBSC and great keynote speakers!
Wednesday – Registration, Golf & BBQ
Thursday – Business Sessions, Awards, EntertainmentThe conference kicks off Wednesday June 5 with golf at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course – world class golf with a view that can’t be beat. The golf wraps with an evening of networking and great food.
Thursday will be business focused with reports from industry experts and speakers bringing the business “meat” to the table. We also will hold our 79th annual AGM and we hope to be part of another CRTC Meet & Greet for the third year in a row. The CRTC Meet & Greet has been a key part of our conference for the last two years and our guests really appreciate the opportunity to meet CRTC Commissioners and staff in an informal setting. The Meet & Greet provides guests and CRTC the opportunity to meet with people who may have only talked on the phone previously and provides a new dynamic and understanding.
