Karlovy Vary International Film Festival Presents Seven Canadian Films

Telefilm Canada [1]Canadian cinema is once again making a name for itself beyond our borders with a selection of seven films at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival [2], in the Czech Republic. The films Je suis à toi by David Lambert, a minority Canadian coproduction with Belgium, and Violent by Andrew Huculiak will be shown in competition and also make their world premieres in the Official Selection and Forum of Independents sections, respectively. In the non-competitive sections, the documentary Earth’s Golden Playground by Andreas Horvath, Pierrot Lunaire by Bruce LaBruce, and Que ta joie demeure by Denis Côté will allow Canadian cinema to shine brightly on Czech territory. Lastly, in the wake of his Jury Prize for Mommy during the past Cannes Festival, Xavier Dolan’s last two films will be presented in the Horizons section.
