Viewers are about to get hot under the collar with some new competition set to air on GameTV this summer. Kicking off its new season on June 3, 2014 the network will add a lineup of new titles to its summer slate. Coinciding with this announcement is the launch of GameTV’s newly refreshed website, which reflects the network’s spirit and overall programming, games, contests and more.

“GameTV’s hot new summer schedule features a wealth of fresh programming sure to leave competitive viewers on the edge of their seats all season long,” said Ana Rodrigues, Programming Director, GameTV. “Audiences can expect a jam-packed lineup, including new series Perfect Score, The Choice, Shear Genius and The American Baking Competition.”

This summer, GameTV’s lineup boasts several exciting additions including the American Baking Competition which will officially launch the broadcaster’s new season with its premiere on Tuesday, June 3 at 8 p.m. ET. The show presents ten amateur bakers competing for a $250,000 Grand Prize, a publishing contract with Simon and Schuster’s Gallery Books and the honour of being crowned the best amateur baker in America. The series is hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy and judged by star chef Marcela Valladolid and Paul Hollywood (The Great British Bake Off).

The Choice is a new celebrity dating show hosted by the vivacious Cat Deeley. Celebrity appearances include Rob Kardashian, Carmen Electra and Pauly D.  Premiering on Thursday, July 3 at 8 p.m. ET, eager contestants vie for a date with some of the world’s most eligible bachelors. This series features a blind choice round, a speed dating round and a final challenge.  If the contestant answers right, he/she gets the celebrity date of a lifetime.

On Tuesday, July 22 at 8 p.m. ET Shear Genius will enter GameTV’s lineup, presenting 12 stylists competing to create the best hair style, with changing restrictions on time and materials.  Contestants are eliminated each week until the winning hair stylist is determined. Judges include Jaclyn Smith, Sally Hershberger, Michael Carl and Kelly Atterton. René Fris acts as a mentor.

Rounding out the season is The Perfect Score launching on Thursday, August 14 at 8 p.m. ET with two back-to-back episodes airing every week for six weeks. Hosted by fan-favorite actress Arielle Kebbel (John Tucker Must Die, The Vampire Diaries), who puts a unique twist on dating game shows. Players not only get a chance to win a date but also the opportunity to win cold hard cash.  $50,000 is on the line – if they can successfully identify their perfect match!
