Support For Media Arts And Art Films In Montréal

Government of CanadaThe Government of Canada has is providing $90,000 through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund for the 32nd edition of the International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA), which will take place from March 20 to 30. Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages Shelly Glover made the announcement today. These funds will allow FIFA to present the world’s best media arts productions and art films. The Media Arts section will present a number of experimental art films. In addition to the screening of films and videos, there will be conferences, roundtables, and the production of a catalogue.

“I would like to thank the organizers of the International Festival of Films on Art for giving the public a chance to view original works that showcase the talent of established and emerging artists of various styles,” said Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. “Congratulations for helping improve Canadians’ quality of life!”

It also helps highlight the work of artists among the population. In short, we are meeting the objectives of our Canadian leaders, whose support for arts and culture helps enrich our country.”
