Zelda Symphony Returns To Toronto And Points West

zelda symphony of the goddessesAs part of the global “The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” tour for 2013, the acclaimed concert will revisit the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts on September 7 and once again thrill music lovers and Zelda enthusiasts with Second Quest, including fresh and exciting new material exploring additional chapters from the Zelda franchise. Those new to Symphony of the Goddesses will also have the opportunity to experience the beautifully orchestrated four-movement symphonic work from last season, which chronicles fan-favourite moments from the franchise’s rich and storied history, carefully and expertly timed with a gorgeous, larger-than-life orchestral score.

The concert, which is continuously being updated with new tour dates, is a festive event for all walks of fans who are encouraged to don their Hero’s tunics and Master Swords for the experience of a lifetime. Based on one of the most popular and beloved video game series of all time, the tour—which has been hailed as a modern classic—features live orchestral performances of theme music from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise. The name “Symphony of the Goddesses” refers not only to the concert program but also to the four-movement symphony recounting the classic storylines from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

To commemorate the highly-anticipated launch of new Zelda adventures in 2013, Second Quest patrons will be treated to special previews of upcoming titles: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD for the Wii U console, as well as The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the much-anticipated Nintendo 3DS sequel to the Super Nintendo classic The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Fans will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken in-person with Link!  Early ticket reservations are advised, as these exciting fan experiences are exclusive to Symphony of the Goddesses in Toronto and space is limited.

“The response to last year’s concert was unbelievable, so we are truly excited to bring this magical concert experience back to Toronto, filled with incredible new material,” says executive producer Jason Michael Paul. “As new titles are announced, we continue to celebrate this award-winning, 27-year-old franchise through its stunning music and visuals.”
