[1]Accessible Media Inc. [1] (AMI) announced today that it has wrapped season three of its unique, cornerstone program, Accessibility in Action, and fans can expect episode one to hit the small screen this September. The weekly show, which airs on AMI-tv, features guests who share inspirational stories about overcoming tremendous adversities and explores topics rarely discussed when talking about disabilities. Hosted by Gemini award-winning broadcaster Joanne Smith, AIA empowers and encourages those living with disabilities and aims to break down barriers.
“We are very pleased to present season three of Accessibility in Action to our audience,” explains Brian Perdue, Director of Programming for AMI-tv. “Inclusion is extremely important to AMI as an organization, and it’s one of our corporate core values. AIA is about acceptance and it reinforces that people can accomplish anything if they put their mind to it, despite their personal challenges and differences.”
Accessibility in Action is produced by Pyman Productions from their fully accessible broadcast centre in Mississauga, ON. In fact, Pyman’s experience with AIA was the impetus behind the design of their completely accessible facility.
“The Pyman Team are thrilled to have produced three seasons of Accessibility in Action for AMI”, says Andrea Pyman, President of Pyman Productions. “Through this series we have had the opportunity to tell the inspiring stories of some very remarkable people. It is a great privilege.”
