Washington State Selects TIO To Enhance National Bill Payment Network

tio networksVancouver-based bill pay technology provider TIO Networks Corp. has announced its partnership with the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services and payment processor Paymentus to assist residents in paying State bills anywhere in the country. TIO will provide self-service kiosks and clerk-assisted software at key retail locations in the State, as well as on TIO’s existing network of approximately 57,000 locations throughout the U.S. for customers to make child support payments.

“A significant number of our customers do not live near State offices, or they no longer reside within the state, so utilizing TIO’s national payment network allows them to maintain their financial commitments in an easily accessible and cost effective manner,” said Kathleen Jenkins, program administrator for the Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Child Support. “This joint effort with Paymentus to introduce a payment solution to the State of Washington is just one of many projects that TIO and Paymentus have undertaken to assist state, regional, and municipal governments in expanding payments options for their customers.”

Paymentus is a leader in billing and payment technology and continues to re-define the bill payment industry by providing innovative payment solutions. Unlike most billing and payment solutions that have been adapted for the web, Paymentus was built exclusively for the self-service channels (Web, IVR, Recurring), making it cost effective and easier for customers to pay bills. The company specializes in offering solutions for recurring, scheduled and one-time payments with patent-pending, real-time technology.

“By teaming up with Paymentus, we’ve created a bill payment solution that allows out of state customers to make child support payments at any TIO-powered location by cash or check, anytime in their own neighborhoods,” said Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman & CEO of TIO Networks. “Customers will no longer have to travel to state offices to make child support payments, and they can also avoid having to schedule regular payments through bank accounts or with credit cards.”

The new payment program is expected to go live this summer.
