Camcloud Expands Platform With Support For Leading IP Cameras

camcloudInnovative provider of cloud video monitoring service provider Camcloud™ has announced that the company has released a major update to its platform that adds support for leading IP cameras. The combination of Camcloud’s existing support for webcams, its deep integration with the Axis family of IP cameras, and now open support for a large number of H.264 cameras, makes Camcloud the most open cloud video surveillance solution available. While other services support a small number of cameras or require their  own proprietary hardware, Camcloud offers its customers flexibility to use the cameras of their choice.

“Our approach has always been to ensure our platform supports the largest number of cameras possible.,“ said Brendan Harrison, Camcloud co-founder and CEO. “This new release continues that strategy by enhancing our existing support for Axis cameras, while opening the platform to H.264 cameras from other leading brands such as D-Link, TRENDnet and Vivotek.”

With the Camcloud service users can connect a regular webcam or H.264 IP camera, enabling a full-featured webcam monitoring and IP camera cloud service. The company offers a free plan and paid plans for as little as $5/month that provide more camera support and unlimited live video viewing. Visit the Camcloud Plans page for more details.

“This is another major milestone in our platform build-out and one we know our customers and partners have been waiting for,” said Dan Burkett, Camcloud co-founder and CTO. “We’ve ensured that setting up an IP camera with our service is extremely simple for any user. With just a few clicks our customers will have their camera integrated with all our cloud and mobile features.”
