Loyalty and referral marketing platform solutions RewardStream has announced that James Christensen, a loyalty and marketing technology expert, joined the executive management team in January 2013. As EVP Business Development and Sales, Christensen is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives for the company’s core products, including the company’s referral marketing solution, Spark™ and the company’s loyalty marketing platform, LMP™.

James Christensen is a well-known figure in loyalty, with a background ranging from credit cards and banking to gift cards and loyalty. He has worked with brands such as Radio Shack, Nike, Levi Strauss, and Eddie Bauer and was involved in innovative loyalty solutions for credit card issuers including RBC, CIBC, Citibank, Sears, and Home Depot. Christensen was founder and CEO of Conasys, an award-winning technology start-up; prior to this he was EVP of Emerging Markets with TSYS Loyalty and prior to that, CEO for Ernex Marketing Technologies, which was acquired by RBC and is now a division of Moneris Solutions.
