BC Hospitality Foundation Chooses Dominion Card Services And Launches Every Swipe Makes A Difference Program

dominion card servicesThe BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is well known and respected in British Columbia for their tireless efforts of providing financial support for individuals within the hospitality community who are coping with a financial crises arising from a health or medical concern. The foundation has recently partnered with Dominion Card Services (DCS) for all of their payment solutions. Additionally, The BC Hospitality Foundation will be benefiting financially from Dominion Card Services ‘Every Swipes Makes A Difference’ program. When any hospitality driven business based in British Columbia partners with Dominion Card Services, DCS will be donating a portion of profits from every debit & credit card transaction to the BCHF.

“Dominion Card Services is committed to bettering the industry and being more than just another corporation,” said Roberto Cabrone, VP of Business Development for Dominion. “One of the ways we can do this is through the ‘Every Swipe Makes A Difference’ program by offering our merchants the opportunity to give back to a leading not-for-profit organization at no cost to them. Our merchants transactions are now about more than just payments – they’re transformed into tangible support for an outstanding foundation.”

In addition to providing financial support within the hospitality community, the foundation also awards scholarships to students enrolled in hospitality, culinary and sommelier programmes in BC. Formed in the fall of 2006, BCHF was inspired by a desire to help long-time wine agent Michael Willingham with funding he needed for both a costly surgery and the subsequent rehabilitation. Assisting Michael revealed a greater need to establish a trust fund that could be used to help anyone within the food service, beverage, and hospitality industry who required extraordinary support due to illness or accident.
