Express Media Announces Mobile App Line-Up

express mediaExpress Media has announced their full line-up of mobile releases hitting the App Store this winter. The Calgary-based independent mobile developer will release Cognitile, a memory puzzle game, and Fitness Helper, an exercise assistant app by the end of the year. CannonCraft, a fantasy action game will follow in early 2013.

Fitness Helper will be the company’s first app release, expected to be available worldwide on the App Store in late November for iPhone devices at the cost of $0.99 CAD/USD. The app promotes 2 popular cardio workout routines for running and cycling, and has a built-in BMI/Calorie calculator with weight goal tracking.

Cognitile is a unique memory puzzle game that will challenge gamers of all skill levels. The adventure themed game shows the player a timed sequence of hazards on a tiled grid, after which the objective is to draw a safe path to the goal from memory. Players will be able to take advantage of a fully featured level builder to create & share custom levels with the community, offering limitless content outside of the 60 official levels.

“It’s an exciting time for us, and more importantly, for gamers” noted Matt Durrant, CEO, on the upcoming game titles “It was our goal from the start to take a fresh approach to development, we wanted to take a chance and create games that people hadn’t played before.”

CannonCraft is an action game offering 36 standard levels and 4 epic boss levels. Players will control a cannon with 10 different ammunition types to fend off an onslaught of fantasy-themed monsters in 4 different environments. Players must defeat all of the monsters before their castle wall falls in order to conquer each level. Completing levels awards points which can be spent on powerful upgrades for ammunition & defenses.
