Montreal’s SENSIO Technologies Inc. has announced an agreement with Big Picture Digital Productions to distribute 3D movies via on-demand rental on 3DGO!. Available in Fall 2012 across the US, 3DGO! is the first dedicated 3D transactional VOD service that offers the largest selection of high-quality 3D content – such as Hollywood blockbusters and must-see documentaries – to consumers whose 3DTVs support SENSIO^® Hi-Fi 3D technology.

As a pioneer and leader in the home video industry, Big Picture hosts an impressive slate of Independent IMAX films from MacGillivray Freeman Films, Stephen Low Productions, K2 Communications, Giant Screen Films and Sky High Entertainment. Big Picture’s library inlcudes over 12 3D IMAX films which has allowed the company to maintain a significant market share in the burgeoning 3D Home Video industry.

The 3D movies that will be offered on 3DGO! include:

• Grand Canyon Adventure and Arabia from MacGillivray Freeman Films
• Ultimate Wave Tahiti, Legends of Flight and Rescue from K2 Communications/Stephen Low Productions
• Dinosaurs Alive!, Wild Ocean and Mummies Secrets of the Pharaohs from Giant Screen Films
• Ultimate G’s: Zac’s Flying Dream, and Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia from Sky High Entertainment

3DGO! uses the award-winning SENSIO^® Hi-Fi 3D technology, a unique frame-compatible technology providing high-fidelity stereoscopic images using conventional 2D channels. After installing the application on a connected 3DTV, consumers will simply need to select the 3DGO! service to immediately start enjoying 3D content. The transactional model will offer consumers instant and easy access to a wide 3D library, which SENSIO commits to continue to develop. Neither subscription nor additional equipment is required.
