Teradici Introduces Next-Generation Tera2 Products

teradici [1]Teradici [1], the developer of the innovative PC-over-IP® (PCoIP®) protocol that enables a true PC experience for hosted desktops, today announced the availability of its next-generation Tera2 PCoIP zero client [2] processors. Backed by an ecosystem of over 30 OEM desktop client partners, the new Tera2 PCoIP zero client chipset includes the TERA2321 dual display zero client processor and the TERA2140 quad display zero client processor.

PCoIP zero clients are a key component of Teradici’s industry-leading, end-to-end VDI technology and partner ecosystem which includes VMware View, APEX™ 2800 server offload cards, PCoIP remote workstations and Teradici RDSH for Microsoft RDS environments. PCoIP zero clients are available from over 30 OEM partners with SKUs and form factors to fit every need including integrated monitors, standalone clients, Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) clients, IP phones and touch screen monitors.

Teradici has also announced the availability of the TERA2220 dual display host processor and the TERA2240 quad display host processor. Teradici’s powerful host processors enable users to move Windows or Linux workstations into the datacenter and connect with a PCoIP zero client remotely without impacting application performance. Created for IT managers who are looking for a secure, reliable and easy-to-manage solution, this release meets the needs of designers who have dedicated computers with graphically demanding applications and expect the highest in performance.

With the Tera2 host processor family, Teradici is raising the bar on security and performance. Advanced security features include AES-256 and NSA Suite B security protocols suitable for top secret classification. Maximum performance of 300 mega pixels per second (Mpps) capable of driving full screens of changing pixels with application refresh rates up to 60 frames per second (fps) ensures the best remote user experience.
