Canadian Innovation Exchange Announces First Keynote

CIX [1]The Canadian Innovation Exchange [1] is proud to announce that Sandy Bird, CTO for the IBM Security Systems Division, will be giving a keynote address at this year’s event. Bird’s keynote is the first announcement of the 2012 CIX program, and is sure to precede many more exciting developments leading up to the November 27th event.

In his position at IBM, Bird is responsible for the company’s strategic security technology direction. Prior to joining IBM, he was a Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Q1 Labs, which was acquired by IBM in November, 2011. Bird has extensive technology experience specializing in database design and development for web applications.

“Sandy Bird is an outstanding example of the top entrepreneurial talent putting Canada at the forefront of the global innovation economy,” said Rick Nathan, Co-Chair of CIX and Managing Director of Kensington Capital Partners. “His insight and experience will be immensely valuable for our attendees this year.”
