Security Guard Patrol Tracking Now Available with Flowfinity Actions 6.5

flowfinityFlowfinity Wireless Inc., a Vancouver-based provider of enterprise mobile apps for business process automation, today announced a new status tracking feature in Flowfinity Actions 6.5 that allows security guards to effectively report on the status of their patrols with iPhone. Available for use even without cellular or Internet coverage, the solution helps to eliminate paper reporting and boost productivity on tours.

Status tracking enables the customization of intelligent iPhone mobile forms that are shown depending on the last activity performed by the user. Using status tracking, security guards are guided through step-by-step processes such as arriving at a location, marking checkpoints, reporting incidents, and starting travel to the next location. Each activity can be time-stamped and GPS-stamped for accuracy.

iPhone reporting on guard tours simplifies billing, time tracking, employee performance management, and safety. As guards clock in and out or submit reports, records are automatically sent to a central, searchable database. Timesheet information can be used to automate payroll and reduce administrative overhead.

Reports with detailed time and location information during a patrol can be used to respond to customer billing inquiries, or to supplement invoices. Guard safety can also be more closely monitored, if expected checkpoints are not reached or reported.

“We have recently seen a rapid increase in demand for mobile security guard management solutions, as well as an increasing interest in iPhone,” said Larry Wilson, VP of Sales and Marketing, Flowfinity. “Delivering status tracking for iPhone reinforces our commitment to meeting the demands of the security market with a compelling mobile solution.”
