Mindr Mobile And National Council of Women of Canada Partner On Smartphone App

mini-orbyThe National Council of Women of Canada (NCWC) has approved an affinity partnership with Waterloo-based Mindr Mobile to offer a Smartphone application aimed to improve safety of women and others who use it. Council members saw demonstrations and gave feedback on the app at the NCWC’s 119th annual meeting in Ottawa. “We Can Change Minds” was the theme of the meeting.

“I will certainly feel better with my Personal Monitor on the way to the cottage,” said NCWC President Denise Mattok.

Women are impressed that an ALERT can be proactively sent to their friends or family by the app.  Mindr Mobile’s unique smartphone application offers an alignment of values with the NCWC, increasing the independence of women and their families, she added.

Mindr Mobile will also donate part of sales proceeds of the app to support the NCWC mandate.
