Saskatoon to Host Mobile and Social Media Conference and Festival

mosoOn June 14th and 15th Saskatoon will host the sold-out Mobile And Social Media Conference, which will offer two days of engaging presentations from the world’s most prolific social media and mobile companies including FreshBooks, Clarity.fm, Deloitte, BlueFuego, WestJet, WeSprout, Lovesocial, Vanilla Forums, Localmind and CBC.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Best-selling author Julien Smith
  • Technology pundit Duncan Stewart
  • Higher education marketer Brad Ward
  • United Breaks Guitars’ Dave Carroll
  • Serial entrepreneur Dan Martell
  • Word-of-mouth marketing genius Saul Colt

MoSo, presented by SaskTel, brings together over three hundred of Western Canada’s brightest creative minds to imagine the future of technology and marketing. The conference is being hosted at the University of Saskatchewan campus.

New this year is an expanded indie music festival – MoSoFest – which will bring more than 50 national, international and local artists to stages across the city. Artists include

Aimed at developers and business audiences alike, the sold out conference includes presentations by more than 30 speakers with expertise ranging from mobile applications, technology trends, entrepreneurship, social media marketing, and user experience.

“I am really looking forward to going to Saskatoon again for MoSo Conference,” said Saul Colt, one of the Keynote speakers. “The conference is growing every year and it looks to have an amazing speaker line-up in 2012. The people in Saskatoon put on one of the best mobile and social media conferences I have been to, and this one will be a lot of fun.”

In its second year, the conference’s organizers have announced that there are plans to continue it as an annual event. For those that can’t make it this year the MoSo website and various social media spaces will be updated frequently throughout the course of the conference with blogs, pictures, insights, and video.

“We are excited to host Canada’s Mobile and Social Media conference in Saskatoon once again,” said organizer Ryan Lejbak. “We have almost 400 people from around Canada and North America who will attend and have an opportunity to hear from an amazing speaker line-up. With over 30 speakers at the conference and over 50 bands at expanded MoSoFest, we are looking forward to a great time next week.”
