iPipeline Increases Focus on Canadian Marketplace

ipipelineiPipeline®, a Pennsylvania-based on-demand software developer that supports marketing, selling, and processing solutions for the nation’s top insurance carriers, distributors and agents, today announced the appointment of Jeff Houston, Canadian Insurance Veteran, to the position of Director of Business Development, Canada.

In this role, Houston will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with all Canadian carriers and distributors leveraging iPipeline’s leading platform for the marketing, selling and processing of insurance. iPipeline acquired Vancouver-based GaleForce Solutions in 2011 to establish its initial presence in Canada.

“The Canadian marketplace continues to be a key strategic marketplace for iPipeline. Based on our high-level meetings with top Canadian carriers, there is a trend to evaluate current business processes and implement advanced solutions that deliver new efficiencies and operational cost savings. Our commitment to grow this market is reflected in our decision to hire a Director of Business Development who is solely focused on Canada,” said Bill Butler, President, iPipeline. “Jeff Houston is an accomplished business development and insurance consultant with over 22 years of broad-based experience in the individual life and health insurance industry. His years of experience as a Regional Vice President in Ontario and Atlantic Canada at RBC provide him with a rare carrier-sided view of the industry and first-hand understanding of the business challenges. We are excited to have Jeff leading our business development efforts in Canada.”

“iPipeline has a history of responding to customer demand through innovation. Their cloud-based platform delivers the right mix of forward-looking solutions to reduce costs and improve competitive advantage. I believe this offering will be of great interest to Canadian insurance industry executives,” said Jeff Houston, Director, Business Development, Canada. “There is clearly a trend to improve financial efficiency by optimizing capital spending. No other solutions provider in North America offers iPipeline’s track record for industry leadership. I look forward to leading the effort in Canada.”

In addition to Vancouver’s GaleForce Solutions office, iPipeline also has an office in Toronto.
